Christian Kammerhofer

"The" dictatorship of art "is bullshit,

since it has long since arrived in advertising and with the people!

The advertising industry and the people are more artists than the artists themselves. I don't want to have to pass the brutality and corruption of art and culture on to the people myself.

The country needs new topics - Europe "

Kammerhofer, who lives in Vienna, has his studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. Kammerhofer's work is always spontaneous. The simplest materials on paper or cardboard meet in a cheeky way. Kammerhofer is uncomfortable with canvases and overpriced materials, so you will hardly find him at Boesner and Co. Kammerhofer does not intend to portray as lifelike as possible, he reflects his own emotions, so he aims for an emotional and not an aesthetic representation.

Kammerhofer impresses with his directness and his courage not to shy away from unpopular topics. According to Kammerhofer, the artist should be an artist and not a decorator.

Elisabeth Kopjar

Kopjar creates an environment that resembles a dream sequence and leaves plenty of room for interpretation.

Her color compositions also give the pictures a very three-dimensional effect that almost tempts the viewer to reach into the picture.

Kopjar herself describes painting for herself as serious fun and that it is always a pleasure for her to observe how viewers feel addressed by her pictures. Your contribution to our themed exhibition is about the separation of mother and daughter.

Philipp Eggersglüß

Eggersglüß alienates unloved pieces so that they can finally follow their actual purpose of evoking emotions.

He uses his own characters, as well as figures from modern pop culture, in paintings and embroidery. The artist imitates the style of the works, the figures used merge with their new surroundings. Some pictures therefore only make their big appearance at second glance. A meeting of two worlds that couldn't be more different - a friendly teasing of old, dusty status symbols with the playful spirit of modernity.

Kerstin Buchholz

Buchholz, born in Dorsten and raised in the Ruhr area, to which she says she owes her very own accent and idiosyncratic mentality, attended an art school for graphics and design in Gelsenkirchen in 1992.

Buchholz works full-time as a qualified social pedagogue, but never lost touch with painting and in her free time experimented mainly with acrylic, pastel and watercolor paints, charcoal pencils, color sprays and structure paste. Since then, smaller commissioned work and the creation of a picture book for children have followed.
Working as a board member at the Art and Culture Association in Dissen through an exhibition and contacts to the VHS enable collaboration this year (in the form of art courses, for children and adults)

Anke Vos

Anke Vos was born in Würselen in 1980 and focused on art in school and at university. After spending one and a half years abroad in South America, she is now working near Oldenburg.

First of all, as a background design for her pictures, Anke Vos found a means in random color forms that she wanted to use for her works. Today she is often inspired by random, painterly shapes, flowing colors and amorphous decal comania. She usually interprets the forms on paper, canvas or wood with drawings and complements them with printing elements and drawings. This creates fantastic beings and fantasy worlds that seem like surreal dream sequences.

LOST MILK

The illustrator from Lower Saxony claims to be the only real unicorn, notably before it became mainstream.
Ela, who works under the pseudonym "LOST MILK," belongs to the "LowBro" style, characterized by a playful, often humorous mixing of objects, which is also evident in Lost Milk's works. She skillfully translates her love of horror films into her art, which is often marked by a grotesque, surreal darkness, while always leaving room for a touch of irony.
The artist from Sarstedt has participated in several exhibitions in the Hanover region and also contributed to the film "Antithesis." For our exhibition, she will present, among other works, "Skin Picking."

Peter Brauchle

PETER BRAUCHLE, born in 1970 in Weil am Rhein; lives and works in Lustadt, Rhineland-Palatinate.

His works, created from aluminum, bronze, stone, wood, or plastic, primarily symbolize introspection and the finding of one's own center. The forms are often exaggerated and elongated, yet always in a balanced equilibrium. His creations spring from the primal instincts of the elements; they clearly convey power and are an expression of their physicality.

The statics of objects are very important. Statics as an expression of existence. The inner dynamics of life manifest themselves outwards. Contours and lines become expressions of the joy of life. Every newly discovered contour is a new thought and thus an impulse of life.

Safet Alimi

Safet Alimi has been active as an artist in the public sphere since 1997. Since 2004, he has worked under the pseudonym of his art project "Plastica Obscura," which has become the hallmark and label of his work. This work is characterized above all by a spirit of experimentation with a wide variety of media and materials; performance art is also part of his repertoire. His work is unified by its thematic connection, which is always rooted in fantasy and mythology, but also includes references to the darkness and taboos of mainstream society. In this way, Alimi manages to immerse the viewer in a bizarre world full of terrifying beauty and eerie, hidden gems.
